Apparently you hook this system up to a dvd player. The speakers come with wire, but my guess would be you would need more to wall mount in the traditional manner.If you can overcome the lack of a remote. If you are going to use this in a small room it will do the job in a big way. there is one for controlling the volume on the sub-woofer, a volume control for the front speakers, one for the center speaker and volume control for the back speakers. I wasn't familiar with this type of home theater system, I thought they all came with a receiver.
all the controls (4) are on the sub-woofer. and are the type that wants the sound with the picture. some pictures showed it with a dvd player some didn't. now if your dvd player has a 5 channel hook up.
Since the room is small I don't mind not having a remote. I paid $57 to the door. and of course the on-off switch.There is no remote control for this unit. you can get the surround sound. I've only had it for a couple of months.
Okay when I was doing the research on this model I wasn't sure what I was going to get. the sound quality was more important and this home theater system does the job. I don't have the speaker mounted on the wall but I'm sure if I did the sound would be even better. if your on a budget. you can set it for a 2 channel input. but so far. For those of you that were confuse as I was I will break it down.When you buy the unit you will get a sub-woofer with 5 speakers.
no problems. if not. I have this system hooked up in my bedroom to a Sansui 19 inch HDTV.and a Toshiba dvd player with the 5.1 channel output and let me tell you the sound is fantastic. this is the system for you.I can't attest to its durability. :)
Pros. The speakers are small which lend to unobtrusive positioning and speaker wires plug in which makes positioning more versitle,Cons. The system does exactly what it advertises---provides satisfactory surround sound for a low price. It works best in a small room. There is no volume control which is a major limitation as it requires manually adjusting three knobs. It also lacks digital audio input.
I bought this system with the intention of just using the receiver to hook up my expensive speakers. and the only other thing is that the center speaker has barely any sound at all. actually the speakers are pretty far beyond anything I have ever heard up to even $100 more.
the bass sound itself is that of a much more expensive system. The big thing is there is no remote with the system and so I am assuming there is no way to program a universal remote to control the volume. but after I plugged it all in and gave it a listen, I was very impressed with the sound of the speakers and bass.
now there were a couple of things I wish it would have had that would have made my rating better. i was expecting alot of distortion , but its really pretty good until you turn it up more than half way, then you do lose some quality. as for the speakers; they have a rich full sound, not that annoying poor treble sound of most speakers in this price.
so you have to get up to adjust the sound which can be a little annoying. even up full volume , not alot of sound or quality, BUT, fortunately the 4 other speakers are so good you really can't tell unless u have ur ear next to the center speaker.I would definately recommend trying this one out if you don't have alot of money to spend.
But all in all, a great sounding system, and perfect for my budget and needs. The area is only approx 10'x8', and the wires barely reached.
Despite it being an obscure, unheard-of brand, this system was better than I expected as far as sound quality. I bought this for my husband for a present.
We ran the rear speakers up to the roof, and then around the room to behind the couch. I also really like that the speakers are small (about 4"x4"x4"), so they are unobtrusive in our really small living room.
The only con is really how short the wires are. The front speakers didn't even have enough lenghth to reach from the subwoofer on the floor, to the top corners at the front of the room (6-8' of lenghth needed).
In the future maybe I'll get a higher quality one, but this is just fine for now.
Bought these as part of a personal Home Theater set-up for a 200 sq foot space. Easy to put together - color coded plugs and sockets. You wouldn't need more - no need to waste money on other speakers for 90% of uses.Excellent value for money.
